this is my nightstand next to my cozy bed. i like sleeping in late in the winter. 我也很喜欢这棵小松柏。there’s this trail at 八大处山 lined with these trees. i like it too. mom, can you tell me what’s the name of this tree? i remember when i was little there was this nightlight in the hallway and each night before i would sleep i would squint my eyes and look at it. i played with the rays of light until i fell asleep. i was told once we should try to be like ourselves when we were little. my laptop has a light that comes one when it sleeps. before i slept the other night i was trying to make it work with my camera but it doesn’t. it’s past my bedtime. sleep tight…

lately i’ve had a big question on my mind. one about finding work. i quit my IT job three and a half years ago to pursue my interests. now it’s time to find a job again. do i go after the money or continue my goal of finding a job i enjoy. 单身 for too long is not good. otherwise i could keep to living by my shoestrings. 绿色 brings to mind environmental friendly ideas or thoughts of crisp, cold dollar bills. there should be meaning to it. there should be a common ground. and now that i think of it a higher ground too..

Streets in China are often lined with these slogans. They’re interesting to read but I couldn’t always get all the words as I passed by on my motorcycle. They look cool. I saw an older guy painting a new one and stopped for a closer look. Some slogans remind people to keep the environment clean, some to urge people to drive safely, others….
This is just one part of the whole.
