太極拳第一課 (The first class of taichi)

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

I was glad when my sister and mom both wanted to check out the free taichi class. It was on Friday morning, my second day in Hong Kong. It was on the waterfront at Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon side. The teacher did a very good job giving instructions. After he would explain a movement he would say “Turn it on!” and continue to the next movement. This is a photo of the warm up exercises.

“Be one with the cosmos. Think of nothing. Be happy. The slower the motions the better. The movements should connect and be smooth.”
