Metha and I saw three waterfalls. Swam in two of them. This was the first. The water was greenish and very cold. It’s scary swimming in water when you can’t see and you are out there in the wild. I wanted to jump off the cliff but it was a little risky. When we got out of the water we had a bunch of worms on us. Not sure if they were leeches. They were tiny. Needless to say we got those off of us as fast as we could. It was fun. I made it behind the waterfall. Metha was my wingman. Don’t ever leave your wingman while doing adventurous things. Fear grows quick.

It was a long and busy week. Busy was a vocabulary word in one of my classes, my level 2. Two students and a level I am used to teaching. I like it. The class that is going to take a while to get used to is the younger ones. My foundation class. More about that another day though.

I was going to go to the theater tonight to watch Fearless but didn’t. I watched this movie instead. It’s based on the Japanese manga series. (After winning his first competition, Takumi focuses his attention on drift racing, a sport he has unknowingly perfected while delivering tofu in his father’s Toyota AE86.) I like anime.

I bought this dvd in Beijing last summer. On the back of the dvd it said there were English subtitles. It also said that the orignal soundtrack was in Cantonese. Neither were to be found (NTS: don’t expect too much when buying bootlegs in China). Watched it in Mandarin. I could get parts of it. They talk too fast at times.

In China, as soon as a movie ends in the theater the lights come on and the film stops. When the credits roll in Japan the seats don’t empty until their finished. In Thailand, before a movie starts everyone stands and watches a clip paying tribute to the King. More about Thailand coming soon.
