I went for a long bike ride along River Road. I stopped along the Potomac River, road some twisties through the woods, got lost in the country, found a Tibetan Buddhist Temple and miles of walking paths, saw Whites Ferry leave for Virginia and made it to my destination before sunset. Raced the setting sun back to the highway and lost…finally, I found my way home.

this picture is nice, but I prefer “twisty road”!
life is like twisty road, most of the time people can’t see their destination, and they have to make turns many times.

Shmily, that is an intersting name, where did you get it?
I got mine from my grandfather who named me. Actually, my given name was 喜宝德, in Cantonese those words are Hei1 Bou2 Dak1, Hei sounds like my English last name and Dak sounds like my Dad’s name. I used my mother’s maiden name and the first two characters, so….李喜宝 it is.

我会说一点普通话，说得不好。 I have much to learn. Maybe after I learn Manadarin I can learn Cantonese and then I can speak with my mother.
